To meet this need, R&D Product Securityis expanding our team of experts to equip our product teamsand oversee cybersecurity programs.We are seekingapassionate, seasonedleaderto oversee the processes, tools, and systems that govern and manage the SEL Software Supply chainand automated security testing.This is a high-impact role,contributingto large corporate initiatives such as complying withthe EU Cyber Resilience Act and improving the robustness of our Secure SDLC.You will lead, supervise, and grow a team of security-minded software engineersto deliver these outcomes.\nIn this role, you will design and develop enterprise-grade approaches and best practicesthat enable SEL to deploy and demonstrateworld-class management of its third-party and first-party firmware and software. This includesdefining andgoverning our processes related toselecting components, ensuring secure provenance of componentsthat we ingest, managing Software Bills of Materials, andmanaging licenses and risksassociated with those components.This will also include defining programs for strengtheningrelationships with key vendors and sponsorship and/or contribution to key open-source projects.\nYou will also oversee the SELapproach to programming languages and automated security QA, such as automated coding standards, linting, fuzzing and static analysis, that complement our software ingestion processes. You will identifybest-in-class tools (as well as AI-driven approaches) and work with the Secure SDLC Automation, DevTools, and product teamsto implement solutionsand drive improved, efficient security outcomes.\nYou will serve as a trusted advisor and consultant for product teams, ensuring that SEL continues to excel at delivering products with world-class security!\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nOversee and improve product security programs related to the SEL software supplychainand relevant standards and regulations (such as 62443-4-1 and the Cyber Resilience Act).\nOversee thedefinition,selection, deployment, and associated product outcomes for automated security QA processes and tools.\nMaintain awareness of developing trends, technologies, and threats related to the secure SDLC.\nSupervise, lead,mentor, and grow a team ofsoftware engineers.\nRepresent SEL atsoftwareindustry conferences as needed.\nModel, teach, and apply SEL values and the Principles of Operations.\n Required Qualifications\nB.S. degree in Computer Scienceor equivalent experience.\n8+ yearssoftware product developmentexperienceacross the full Secure SDLC, including at least oneof the following areas:Embedded development,Cloud-native development, Web development\n3+ years of experience with technical leadership in software development.\nDemonstrated proficiencywith multiple programming languages\nDemonstrated experience with software supply chain practices and tools\nExcellent leadership and communication skills\nAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities\nWillingness to travel occasionally (Preferred Qualifications\nExperience with hiring, supervising, and growing a team\nExperience with using AIeffectively in the SDLC.\nExperience with contributing to open-source projects.\nKnowledge of vulnerability managementanddisclosure practices\nKnowledge of cybersecurity risk assessment practices\nKnowledge of IEC 62443-4-1 and the Cyber Resilience Act\nCompetitive pay.
