Conducts moderate to complex design reviews to demonstrate product and circuit robustness.\nDevelops hardware specifications and prepares system level specifications.\nWrites and analyzes test plans, executes tests and evaluates test results for use at peer design reviews and project notebooks.\nPrepares and maintains product documentation, including data sheets, instruction manuals, project notebooks, design and test documentation.\nProvides and maintains accurate project plans. Manages and/or leads hardware projects of moderate complexity. Coordinates engineering activities with purchasing and manufacturing.\nMentors and directs the efforts of associate engineers and technicians.\nFollow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.\nUnderstand. Simplify.\nOther duties as assigned.\n Required Qualifications Include:\nB.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nTypically 2+ years of combined experience in at least 2 of the following areas:\nAnalog circuit design\n\nDigital design with microprocessors\n\nPower supply design\n\nDigital design with emphasis on Programmable Logic including:\n\nVHDL/Verilog\n\nXilinx/Altera/Micro Semi Tools\n\nSimulation, Timing, Analysis, and Synthesis\n\nWorking knowledge of project management processes and procedures\n\nStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skills\n\nAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities\n\nAbility to work cooperatively in a team environment\n\nBackground check results satisfactory to SEL\n\nNegative drug test result(s)\n\nPreferred Qualifications Include:\nKnowledge of one or more of the following:\nIndustrial controls\n\n3-phase and electric power systems\n\nElectric utility telecommunications\n\nLeadership experience or training\n\nLocation: Boise, ID\nThis position is located in Boise, ID, capital of the gem state, and on the Boise River in the southwestern part of the state.
