SEL is hiring a Hardware Engineering Intern with a focus in VHDL Register-Transfer Level (RTL) Digital Logic design for our R&D Communications product group. In this role, you will support our Ethernet Security Gateways, Satellite Synchronized Network Clocks, Ethernet Switches, and other communication products.\n\nAs a Hardware Engineering Intern in VHDL RTL Digital Logic, a typical day may include the following:\nAnalyzing, designing, and coding VHDL RTL digital logic for FPGA systems.\nPreparing and maintaining internal RTL design documentation.\nConducting moderate to complex peer design reviews.\nWriting test plans, developing testbenches, creating test stimulus and analyzing verification results to demonstrate robustness.\nCollaborating with cross-discipline engineers to deliver world-class products for use in critical infrastructure.\nThis job may be a good fit if you:\nare detail-oriented and tend to seek a deeper understanding of any subject material.\nenjoy solving difficult problems with efficient and creative solutions.\nhave experience simulating, synthesizing, and performing timing analysis of digital logic.\nhave experience with object-oriented programming.\nRequired Qualifications:\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of technical coursework completed.\nStrong writing, technical documentation and speaking\nAbility to rapidly learn new skills and assume new responsibilities\nAbility to work cooperatively in a team environment\nBackground check results satisfactory to SEL\nNegative drug test result(s)\nLocation:\nPullman, WA - SEL’s corporate office is located in Eastern Washington where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life.
