Wecollaborate with graphic designers, writers, and others in the Marketing division to develop a wide variety of content, from webpages and news stories to posters, flyers, and videos. We alsowork closely with authors and engineers across the company to produce technical papers and presentations that are technicallyaccuratewith content that flows well and meets our style.\nA typical day as a Marketing Technical Editormight include:\nCopyediting or proofreading a solution flyer, webpage, email, technical paper, or presentation to meet grammar, punctuation, and company style standards.\n\nCollaborating with subject matter experts, designers, and writers to ensure content isaccurateand clear.\n\nRewriting content to align with SEL tone and voice, brand philosophy, and goals.\n\nCollaborating with other editors to meet deadlines and ensure consistency across projects.\n\nThis job might be for you if:\nYou have a degree in English, technical communications, or a related area.\n\nYou have advanced proofreading, writing, grammar, andcommunicationsskills.\n\nYou have work experience as a technical editor, a copyeditor, or a similar role that involves writing or editing technical content.\n\nYouhave the ability towork under limited supervision in high-pressure situations and recognize the criticality of meeting stringent deadlines.\n\nYouhave the ability toreceive and incorporate editorial and technical feedback into your editing processes.\n\nIt is a plus if you have:\nExperience editing complex technical documentation and/or editing for high-tech or engineering firms\n\nExperience with desktop publishing software\n\nExperience with technical drawing software (e.g., MS Visio)\n\nWorking knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style and the Gregg Reference Manual\n\nAbout our team:\nThe Marketingediting teamcollaborates with others in the company on different deliverables, including varioustechnical documentsandwebcontent.The content we work on directly supports SEL marketing and education initiatives related to the electronic devices we manufacture and the engineering solutions we offer, which play a critical role in ensuring power system safety and reliability.\nLocation\nPullman, WA - This positionis located inPullman, WA.
