This position is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and services to support our manufacturing operations while maintaining appropriate inventory levels, meeting production schedules, and building strong supplier relationships. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing purchasing or scheduling, is comfortable working with MRP systems and Excel, and can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nFull time position with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and 401k match.\nWork Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:30 - 5pm, Fri 7:30 - 11:30am\nPay range: $55,000 - $70,000/yr\nResponsibilities\nReview MRP schedules and generate purchase orders and internal jobs to support production requirements.\n\nEnter and maintain purchase orders based on production schedules, engineering changes, inventory adjustments, and job material changes.\n\nSource and obtain quotes for new materials, components, parts, and assemblies.\n\nCoordinate with Engineering and internal departments to establish or update bills of materials and routings for internally manufactured parts.\n\nMonitor open purchase orders and internal jobs, assisting with expediting as needed to meet production schedules.\n\nTrack inventory levels for key components and materials that require monitoring outside the MRP system.\n\nWork with the Purchasing Supervisor to improve supplier pricing, lead times, quality, and overall landed costs.\n\nAssist in identifying and evaluating new suppliers and sourcing opportunities.\n\nSupport purchasing metrics, process improvement initiatives, and ethical purchasing practices.\n\nObtain required approvals for purchases exceeding established purchasing limits.\n\nQualifications\n2-4 years of experience in manufacturing scheduling, purchasing, or a related role.\n\nExperience working with an MRP system in a manufacturing environment.\n\nKnowledge of international purchasing and import regulations, including freight, customs, and duties preferred\n\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced spreadsheets, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.\n\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and follow-through.\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a collaborative team.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and support manufacturing production goals.\n\nCompany Website\nhttps://www.selux.us/\nCompany Profile\nEmploy­ment Selux Cor­po­ra­tion has a suc­cess­ful track record of tremen­dous growth and sus­tain­abil­ity as a world-wide man­u­fac­turer of archi­tec­turally designed lumi­naires, nes­tled right here in the Hudson Valley.
