This hybrid role combines hands-on field service expertise in analyzers, process instrumentation, PLCs, and industrial control systems with project management duties to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to customer expectations. The individual will work directly with customers, vendors, internal departments, and field personnel to deliver successful technical solutions while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of analytical equipment and control systems.\nProvide onsite and remote technical support to customers.\nConduct system diagnostics and root cause analysis to resolve equipment and process issues.\nPerform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.\nDocument service activities, findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.\nEnsure compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.\nTrain customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance best practices.\nDevelop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.\nCoordinate activities between engineering, operations, procurement, vendors, and customers.\nSpecify equipment that meets customers’ needs.\nTrack project milestones, deliverables, risks, and action items.\nMonitor project costs and ensure financial objectives are achieved.\nManage project documentation, change orders, and customer communications.\nEnsure projects meet quality standards and contractual obligations.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Project Management, or related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.\nExperience managing technical projects.\nStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to travel up to 50% as business needs require.\nValid driver's license and ability to obtain customer site access.\nPreferred: Experience commissioning, troubleshooting, programming, and supporting PLC-based automation systems including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, or comparable platforms.\nPreferred: Experience with process analyzers and analytical instrumentation, including installation, calibration, and troubleshooting.\nPreferred: Knowledge of electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control panel designs.\nPhysical Demands\nFrequently required to stand\nFrequently required to walk\nContinually required to sit\nContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity\nOccasionally balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl\nContinually required to talk or hear\nContinually utilize visual acuity to read technical information and/or use a keyboard\nOccasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 25 pounds\nOccasionally work near moving mechanical parts\nOccasionally exposure to outside weather conditions\nOccasionally loud noise (examples: shop tool noises, electric motors, moving mechanical equipment)\nWork Environment\nThis role operates in a professional office environment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used.
