Working in close collaboration with analog, digital, firmware design engineers, they are responsible for aiding in the initial feasibility analysis and fabrication process selection. The individual follows the design through to defining a circuit level architecture and verifying the evolving implementation continues to meet the application requirements.\nResponsibilities:\nAssessing system level requirements to meet target applications\n\nMapping system level requirements on to integrated circuit functional blocks\n\nWorking directly as part of the IC design team to find the optimal power, performance and cost tradeoffs\n\nPreliminary circuit-level feasibility for critical elements\n\nDetailed modelling of IC and external components to project target performance\n\nAlgorithm development for on-chip calibration and signal conditioning\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nA Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as electrical engineering etc.\n\n10 years direct industry experience in IC development for high speed communications systems\n\nHigh speed analog and mixed signal circuit design\n\nThrough understanding of linear and non-linear channel simulation techniques\n\nDeep understanding of signal equalization techniques and clock-and-data recovery for wideband, multi-gigabit systems\n\nThe intent of this job description is to describe the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
