Lifecycle Engineering, you will take ownership of sustaining engineering activities across mature, high-volume semiconductor products.\nYou will lead technical initiatives that improve yield, optimise test performance, resolve complex production challenges, and enhance manufacturing stability across the full product lifecycle.\nThis is a highly visible, hands-on engineering role where data-driven decision making, structured problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration directly contribute to engineering excellence and business performance.\nResponsibilities\nLead yield improvement and margin optimisation initiatives across internal manufacturing sites and external suppliers (20%)\nOwn lifecycle engineering from production ramp through to end-of-life management, ensuring ongoing product health and stability (20%)\nInvestigate and resolve critical production issues impacting quality, yield, or test performance using structured methodologies such as 8D and CAPA (20%)\nPartner with Test, Design, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to embed manufacturability, cost efficiency, and test optimisation into lifecycle activities (20%)\nApply statistical data analysis and continuous improvement practices to identify optimisation opportunities and influence data-driven engineering decisions (20%)\nMinimum Qualifications\nBS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline\n5-8 years of experience in semiconductor product, test, or design engineering, ideally within sustaining or lifecycle roles\nStrong experience in yield analysis, margin improvement, and cross-functional technical problem solving\nFamiliarity with ATE platforms such as Advantest or Teradyne, or equivalent bench test environments\nExperience with statistical process control, data analysis, and design of experiments\nFluent professional English (written and spoken)\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience working across global manufacturing sites and supplier networks\nProficiency with tools such as Excel, JMP, Galaxy, dataConductor, or similar analysis platforms\nExposure to high-speed serial interfaces, video/datacom systems, or JEDEC/Mil quality standards\nStrong documentation discipline and structured engineering approach\nAbility to operate effectively in fast-paced production environments with competing priorities\nWhy Join Us?\nWork on products that have global impact across high-performance connectivity markets\nCollaborate with experienced engineering teams across design, test, quality, and operations\nTake ownership of initiatives that directly influence product performance, cost, and profitability\nThrive in a culture that values initiative, expertise, and continuous improvement\nCareer Growth Philosophy\nAt Semtech, innovation starts with people.
