Our operations include epitaxial growth and wafer fabrication across two Southern California sites supporting customer demand for advanced photonic devices.\nJob Summary:\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Wafer Fab Planner to manage production planning and scheduling for epitaxy and wafer fabrication operations. This individual will translate die demand into wafer starts, balance fab capacity, manage WIP, and ensure timely availability of tested die to support downstream product delivery requirements.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain master production plans for InP wafer fabrication operations across two manufacturing sites \nTranslate customer and business demand into wafer start requirements \nGenerate weekly, monthly, and quarterly production schedules \nPlan production loading across approximately five epitaxial growth tools and downstream wafer fabrication operations \nPerform capacity analysis and identify bottlenecks impacting delivery performance\nMonitor wafer movement, WIP health, aging lots, and cycle time \nMaintain die supply plans based on forecast, inventory, yield assumptions, and manufacturing cycle times\nPartner with Operations, Engineering, Yield Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve risks and drive execution, and develop dashboards and reports for wafer starts, WIP, cycle time, capacity utilization, die inventory, and forecast accuracy \nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related discipline.\n5+ years of production planning experience in semiconductor manufacturing.\nStrong understanding of capacity planning, production scheduling, inventory management, and demand planning.\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nExcellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience in photonics, optoelectronics, compound semiconductors, InP, GaAs, or silicon photonics.\nFamiliarity with epitaxial growth operations such as MOCVD, MOVPE, or MBE.\nExperience with semiconductor MES systems.\nUnderstanding of wafer yield, die inventory management, and cycle time optimization.\nExperience in a high-mix manufacturing environment.\nThe intent of this job description is to describe the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
