We’re the technical backbone behind every product in Semtech’s semiconductor portfolio, specialising in mixed-signal, high-speed digital and RF test development.\nFrom the Neuchâtel site, you’d be working across a genuinely unusual range - our portfolio spans everything from ultra-low-power LoRa modulation to 200Gbps-class high-speed communications, so no two weeks on this test bench look alike.\nJob Summary:\nWe’re seeking a Staff NPI Test Engineer to lead test development for our mixed-signal and RF product portfolio - someone who can own test solutions across an entire product line, from early silicon validation through to high-volume production, and who can work out a novel technical problem rather than wait for someone to hand them the answer.\nYou’ll apply and reinforce testability standards within your program, coordinate across multiple disciplines, and deliver test methodologies that support high-speed communication products operating anywhere from LoRa modulation rates to 200Gbps and beyond.\nIf you’ve got 5+ years of ATE semiconductor testing, ideally on V93000, experience testing high-speed mixed-signal ICs, and you’ve actually done bring-up and support in offshore test locations - this is a program you’d own, not just contribute to.\nResponsibilities:\nHere’s what you’ll actually own, day to day:\nParticipate in new product design meetings to drive analog and digital DFT techniques into new designs\nDevelop and implement high-speed test solutions at package and/or wafer level for new products on the Advantest V93000 test platform, including both software and hardware\nWork with a cross-functional product team to assess and evaluate new designs and provide feedback based on ATE test results\nSupport product qualification by developing reliability screening solutions to evaluate device performance during life testing\nCollaborate with Product Engineering to complete ATE characterisation to ensure the robustness of IC designs and test solutions\nDeploy the solutions to our far-shore OSATs and support the ramp-up to full production\nHold periodic test review meetings with key stakeholders on project teams\nConduct ongoing test time and yield improvements to drive continuous margin improvement\nMinimum Qualifications:\nDegree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline • At least 5+ years’ experience in ATE semiconductor testing; V93000 experience preferred • Experience in testing high-speed mixed-signal ICs\nExperience in bring-up and support of solutions in offshore test locations • Knowledge of high-speed PCB design concepts and experience in schematic-level hardware design\nThe Right Candidate Will Be Able To:\nDevelop and maintain strong collaborative relationships across all functions within a project team (design, product, characterization, validation, applications, marketing etc.) • Work to aggressive project timelines\nMultitask with multiple projects in different lifecycle phases • Deliver high-quality test results in line with quality management standards\nProduce concise, accurate and timely reports and updates (written and oral), containing clearly presented results\nWhy Join Us?\nWork across a genuinely rare range - from LoRa’s ultra-low-power IoT modulation to 200Gbps-class high-speed communications, all on one platform\nOwn test solutions for an entire product line, end-to-end, from first silicon through to full production ramp\nSolve genuinely novel technical problems - this isn’t a role where the answer is already written down for you\nJoin a global test engineering team that’s the centre of excellence for test innovation at Semtech, with a Neuchâtel site at the heart of it\nCareer Growth Philosophy:\nAt Semtech, we value engineers who combine technical depth with practical impact.
