Our engineers develop scalable ATE solutions, optimise test efficiency, and ensure consistent product quality across global manufacturing sites.\nThis is a highly technical and collaborative environment where engineering insight directly influences product performance, yield, and time-to-market.\nJob Summary:\nWe are looking for a Staff Test Engineer to develop, deploy, and optimise semiconductor test solutions using the Advantest V93000 platform.\nYou will work across wafer and package-level testing, supporting the full product lifecycle from early silicon evaluation through to mass production. This includes test development, characterisation, qualification support, and deployment to offshore OSAT partners.\nThe role requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams and a strong focus on delivering robust, high-quality, and efficient test solutions under demanding project timelines.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and implement wafer and package-level test solutions on the Advantest V93000 platform, including hardware and software development\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate new designs and provide structured feedback from ATE results\nParticipate in design reviews and support implementation of analog and digital Design for Test (DFT) techniques\nWork with Product Engineering to complete ATE characterisation ensuring IC robustness and test coverage\nDevelop reliability and qualification screening solutions to support device life testing and qualification\nDeploy test solutions to offshore OSAT manufacturing sites and support production ramp-up activities\nLead or participate in periodic test review meetings with project stakeholders\nOptimise existing test solutions to improve yield, reduce test time, and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency\nMinimum Qualifications:\nDegree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline\n3-5 years’ experience in semiconductor ATE testing\nExperience with Advantest V93000 preferred\nExperience supporting offshore test or production environments\nStrong background in high-speed mixed-signal IC testing\nUnderstanding of high-speed PCB design and schematic development\nThe Right Candidate Will Be Able To:\nBuild strong collaborative relationships across design, product, validation, test, and applications teams\nWork effectively to aggressive project timelines\nManage multiple projects across different stages of the product lifecycle\nEngage with external hardware vendors to ensure timely test solution delivery\nDeliver high-quality, accurate test results aligned with quality standards\nProduce clear, concise, and timely technical reports and project updates (written and verbal)\nWhy Join Us?\nWork on advanced semiconductor technologies used in global high-speed systems\nTake ownership of test solutions that directly impact product performance and yield\nCollaborate with world-class engineering teams across multiple disciplines\nGain exposure to full product lifecycle development from design to production\nDrive continuous improvement in test efficiency and manufacturing quality\nCareer Growth Philosophy:\nAt Semtech, we value engineers who combine technical depth with practical impact.
