access using PostgreSQL, Hibernate/JPA, and Redis.\n\n- Ensure strong automated testing, observability, security, and production readiness across services.\n\n- Participate in architecture and code reviews while mentoring engineers on backend engineering, security, and API best practices.\n\n- Follow secure engineering practices aligned with HIPAA, SOC 2 Type II, PHI protection, encryption, and least-privilege access.\n\nPreferred candidate profile :\n\nMust-Have Skills :\n\n- 8+ years of backend development experience with Java.\n\n- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot 3/4 and Spring Framework 6.\n\n- Strong experience in Microservices architecture and distributed systems.\n\n- Production experience with Spring WebFlux and Project Reactor.\n\n- Strong expertise in Spring Security, JWT authentication, security filter chains, and authorization.\n\n- Experience decomposing or modernizing production monolithic applications into microservices.\n\n- Strong knowledge of REST API design and API standardization.\n\n- Deep experience with PostgreSQL, Hibernate/JPA, schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.\n\n- Hands-on experience with AWS SQS and SNS, including FIFO queues, DLQs, retries, and idempotent consumers.\n\n- Strong experience with Redis, including caching, distributed sessions, and TTL management.\n\n- Experience with JUnit 5, Mockito, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\n- Working knowledge of AWS RDS, ECS, S3, VPC, and IAM.\n\n- Ability to independently own technical deliverables from design through deployment and production support.\n\nNice-to-Have Skills :\n\n- Experience with Spring Cloud Gateway and Eureka.\n\n- Exposure to AWS EventBridge and event-bus architecture patterns.\n\n- Experience deploying applications on ECS/Fargate.\n\n- Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.\n\n- Experience with GitHub Actions, OIDC, and AWS CodeArtifact.\n\n- Knowledge of observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.\n\n- Experience troubleshooting distributed systems in production environments.\n\n- Exposure to Python for backend or data-processing workloads.\n\n- Healthcare domain experience or familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2 Type II, and PHI data handling.\n\n- Experience maintaining shared internal libraries or platforms used across multiple engineering
