You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the business receives quality products on time and at the best possible value. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, manufacturing-led environment and enjoys building strong supplier partnerships. Office based role.\nKey Responsibilities\nSource, negotiate, and manage suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, quality, and delivery.\nRaise and manage purchase orders through Material Requirements Planning (MRP), ensuring timely supply for production schedules.\nManage consignments’ stock levels.\nIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers capable of meeting aerospace manufacturing requirements.\nManage RFQs (Requests for Quotation), analyse proposals, and negotiate cost, lead time, and contractual terms.\nMaintain optimal inventory levels while preventing shortages and production delays.\nConduct supplier reviews focusing on quality, delivery adherence, and cost competitiveness.\nSupport supplier audits in collaboration with Quality and Engineering teams.\nMaintain accurate procurement data in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/MRP systems.\nMaintain records of contracts, supplier agreements, and purchase order histories.\nCost savings achieved through negotiation and process improvements\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance\nCheck order acknowledgements and confirm delivery dates.\nAttending supplier meetings as required to support in maintaining relationships.\nCreate Monthly KPI’s for Suppliers\nResolve supplier issues and support quality and engineering teams with specification queries.\nMaintain accurate procurement records and support continuous improvement initiatives.\n What We’re Looking For\nProven experience in Procurement, ideally within aerospace or manufacturing.\nStrong negotiation and communication skills.\nAbility to analyse cost, supplier performance.\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems.\nOrganised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.\n Our benefits package includes\nExcellent pension and life assurance scheme\n25 days holiday + bank holidays\nHoliday buy & sell options\nHealth cash plan scheme\nEmployee discount scheme\nEmployee Assistance Programme\nCareer and development opportunities\nReward and recognition\nFree on-site car parking\nThermal Engineering are an Equal Opportunities employer who is committed to creating a working environment where our people will grow and thrive.
