To develop and improve concurrent production and best practices, whilst maintaining a high quality of standards.\nHours of work: 39 hours per week.\nDayshift - Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am to 1.00pm with 30-minute unpaid break for lunch\nProduction Engineer - What will my responsibilities include?’\nProvide engineering solutions utilising online and offline CNC programming from customer drawings and models.\nSet-up & Prove out programs on 3, 4 & 5 axis machining centres to a production standard.\nCreate detailed manufacturing process plans, routings, and load to ERP system (IFS). \nProvide documentation to allow shop personnel to complete their respective operation, including tooling, fixtures, gauges, and set-up sheets to aid manufacture.\nReviewing existing CNC programs and method of manufacture and identifying opportunities for improvement.\nDevelop best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability.\nInvestigate problems, analyse root causes, and derive resolutions.\nWork in close liaison with the Engineering team, Production & Shop Floor.\nSupport and provide information to the Quality / Inspection department when required.\nManage their workload distribution within the Engineering department under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.\nProduce detailed 2D dimensional stage drawings and 3D models to aid manufacture.\nReview and create plans, specifications and other Customer documentation if requested.\nDesign fixtures to aid manufacture working in conjunction with the engineers on the shop floor.\nMaintain notes on design, tooling, and other documentation (drawings, bill of materials, calculations etc.) for future reference.\nComprehend and document the effect(s) of treatments and coatings on different materials to produce conforming parts.\nOther tasks to be performed as assigned by Engineering Manager.\nAbility to train others.\nProduction Engineer - What key skills and experience do I need?\nMust have the right to live and work in the UK (Essential)\nMinimum 5 years manufacturing engineering experience\nCreate programs, solid/surface models & drawings in CAM system.\nWork with a wide range of materials to tight tolerances.\nGood understand of G, D & T\nAble to work within a team and on their own.\nMust have a strong passion for product and process excellence and customer satisfaction.\nAble to programme, set & operate 3,4 & 5 axis on Mill / Turn Mazak Integrex machines.\nIn-depth knowledge of engineering processes, materials, and treatments\nCAD / CAM Training - Mastercam (Desirable)\nGood working knowledge of ERP system (IFS). (Desirable)\nAble to produce drawings / models accurately to ISO and ASME Y14.5 Geometric Tolerancing. (Desirable)\nProgramme, set & operate 3,4 & 5 axis machines with Mazak, Fanuc & Heidenhain controls. (Desirable)\nProduction Engineer - What qualifications should I have?\nBasic O’ Level / GCSE Qualifications, technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ).\nFull UK Driving Licence\nProficient in standard Microsoft office software applications\nSecurity Clearance (Desirable)\nApprentice trained.
