This role works closely with the Operations Manager to deliver Senior’s goals and objectives, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and workforce effectiveness. The supervisor provides leadership to area leads and supports the union workforce through coaching, mentoring, and consistent communication.\nKey Result Areas & Responsibilities\nLead and supervise the department’s operational team, including oversight of employees and area leads.\nManage the department seating chart aligned with the production plan.\nProvide coaching and mentoring to area leads, ensuring effective governance of the union workforce.\nCommunicate production support requirements through GEMBA walks and cross-functional meetings with engineering, quality, and safety teams.\nFacilitate weekly production meetings with area leads and communicate required actions to engineering, maintenance, quality, and safety support groups.\nEnsure compliance with company policies and standards for 5S, safe work practices, quality workmanship, and Senior Flexonics work rules.\nLead workshop events and Kaizen activities and maintain ownership of the lean audit process, including reporting metrics and communicating results.\nSupport Senior’s long-term strategy deployment initiatives as they relate to departmental improvements.\nLead activities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.\nRecord all production for the work shift into the MRP system.\nTrack and report daily KPI metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Performance).\nTrain new personnel in workstation operation and develop cross-training plans.\nBuild strong relationships with support teams to drive process improvements.\nEngage cross-functional teams to improve uptime and optimize weekly KPIs.\nCoordinate with maintenance, quality, safety, and engineering groups to resolve issues and support improvement initiatives.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nManage improvement initiatives at defined cadence and frequency.\nSupport cross-functional collaboration to improve equipment uptime and departmental KPIs. \n Education\nAssociate degree preferred (not required)\nCertifications\nNo specific certifications required (none listed in workbook)\nExperience\nMinimum 5 years in operations supervision\nMinimum 3 years in lean systems and supervisory rolesSkills, Knowledge & Abilities\nTechnical Skills\n\nMicrosoft Office proficiency\nStrong computer skills\nEffective communication across production, engineering, quality, and safety teamsCore Competencies\n\nFunctional and business communication\nLeadership and team development\nContinuous improvement mindset\nSafety and standard work compliance\nLean systems knowledge (including workshop/Kaizen leadership)Key Relationships\n\nOperations Manager\nQuality and Manufacturing Engineers\nMaintenance Team\nTraining and Production Reporting Personnel\n Additional Information\nThe expected salary range for this position is $65-90K per year.
