Our senior engineering professionals are active members of the SAE G3 Fluid Fitting committee and are recognized industry-wide for their expertise.\n What does the job involve?\nPosition Summary:\nWe are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing outgoing shipments, preparing shipping documents, and ensuring accuracy in all shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nUnder general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:\nProcess outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.\nEnsure accuracy of shipment contents and verify against packing lists or invoices.\nPrepare shipping documents (such as shipping labels, and customs forms) accurately and in a timely manner.\nCoordinate with carriers and freight companies to ensure scheduled pickups.\nTrack and monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers as needed.\nReceive, unpack, and inspect incoming/outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.\nSort and distribute incoming/outgoing inventory to designated areas or departments.\nMaintain organized and clean shipping and receiving areas.\nPerform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as necessary.\nAdhere to safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.\nCollaborate with team members and other departments to meet shipping and receiving deadlines.\nAssist with other warehouse tasks as assigned by supervisors.\n Requirements:\nProven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center.\nFamiliarity with shipping software and systems\nBasic knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and paperwork.\nAbility to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.\nForklift Certified\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications in logistics or warehousing is a plus.\nPhysical Requirements:\nLifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry packages and boxes of varying weights, typically up to 50 pounds or more, depending on the specific job requirements.\nStanding and Walking: Shipping clerks often spend extended periods standing while preparing shipments or moving around the warehouse or shipping area.\nBending and Reaching: Capability to bend, stoop, reach, and stretch to access and handle packages and materials.\nManual Dexterity: Skill in using hands and fingers to handle small packages, operate packaging equipment, and complete paperwork accurately.\nVisual Acuity: Good eyesight to read shipping labels, verify inventory, and inspect packages for accuracy and condition.\nAttention to Detail: Accuracy in counting, labeling, and documenting shipments to ensure correct delivery and tracking.\nSafety Awareness: Awareness of safety procedures to handle packages and operate equipment safely to prevent accidents and injuries.\nPhysical Endurance: Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job, which may include repetitive tasks and working in varying temperatures within a warehouse environment.\nCommunication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, carriers, and customers regarding shipping instructions and updates.\n Working Pattern: 7:00am - 4:00 pm\nHourly Rate: Starting at $20.00/hr.\nTrade Compliance Statement Access to our facilities is restricted under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, U.S. Nationals, U.S. refugees, asylees, or temporary residents under amnesty provisions ), and to properly licensed foreign persons.
