Perform design activity on assembly and shop tooling to be produced using conventional machining techniques as well as rapid prototyping. Supports the department and business as a whole with shop floor, planning, quality, and MRB activities.\nWhat will my responsibilities include?\nDesign assembly and shop tooling\nCreate 2D CAD drawings and layouts\nSupport shop floor technical inquiries (Drawing and spec interpretations)\nContribute to design improvements\nContribute to cost reduction efforts\nSupport 5S + Safety requirements for department\nEnsure maintenance on all equipment is completed as required\nOther reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate\nUsing required PPE for the department\n Education:\nAssociate's degree in engineering or equivalent on the job training\nExperience:\n5 years tool design in a manufacturing environment using 2D and 3D modeling software\nExperience/knowledge of equipment, machines, tools, etc:\nRapid prototyping, CMM, hand inspection tools\nMust be able to communicate and interact with employees at all levels of the organization both verbally and written.
