The separator is a key component that helps make lithium-ion batteries safer, more durable and more efficient, supporting the transition towards a more electrified future.\nOur production is modern, advanced and operated under controlled cleanroom conditions. The manufacturing process consists of four main process steps, where precision, stability and quality are essential.\nTogether, we are building advanced manufacturing capabilities in Europe and developing solutions that make a difference - both today and for the future.\nThe Role\nAs a Process Assistant Engineer, you will support the daily operation and continuous improvement of our slurry, coating and slitting processes. You will work with production and process data, assist in troubleshooting and process validation, and contribute to improving process stability, product quality and production efficiency.\nThe role is hands-on and cross-functional, giving you the opportunity to work closely with Production, Quality, Equipment and R&D teams while developing your technical and analytical skills in a modern manufacturing environment.\nJob Responsibilities\nAssist in the daily maintenance and optimisation of separator coating processes, including slurry, coating and slitting parameters and other key process conditions.\n\nProvide technical support to Production and assist in troubleshooting issues related to process parameters, materials and other process abnormalities.\n\nCollect, organise and analyse production data and key process parameters, identify abnormal trends and support continuous process improvement.\n\nAssist in process validation and DOE trials, evaluate the impact of parameters on process and product performance, and support optimisation of the process window.\n\nParticipate in internal and customer quality investigations using methods such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram and FTA.\n\nAssist in developing PDCA actions and verifying their effectiveness.\n\nSupport new product trials, new slurry and raw material validation, and process condition verification.\n\nFollow up on trial production and analyse relevant process and quality data.\n\nWork with Equipment Engineers to analyse how different equipment functions affect product quality and support equipment and process improvements.\n\nAssist in preparing and maintaining SOPs, process parameter sheets, work instructions, validation reports, technical reports and other process-related documentation.\n\nCooperate with Production, Quality, Equipment and R&D teams to resolve production issues, improve process stability and continuously improve product quality.\n\nYour Background\nWe are looking for someone with:\nA bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, materials science, manufacturing or another relevant field.\n\nAt least 1 year of relevant industrial or manufacturing experience.\n\nA structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.\n\nAn interest in process development, production technology and continuous improvement.\n\nGood communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across different functions.\n\nThe ability to analyse data, identify trends and support fact-based technical decisions.\n\nA hands-on approach and the ability to work in a production environment.\n\nGood English communication skills, both spoken and written, in an international working environment.\n\nIt Would Be an Advantage If You Have\nExperience from coating, slitting, slurry preparation or other continuous manufacturing processes.\n\nExperience with process validation, DOE or statistical process analysis.\n\nExperience with structured problem-solving methods such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, FTA or PDCA.\n\nExperience working with production, quality or process data.\n\nExperience from the battery, automotive, chemical, materials or other advanced manufacturing industries.\n\nFamiliarity with technical documentation, SOPs and process specifications.\n\nWhat You Can Expect\nYou will join an international industrial organisation where process engineering plays an important role in ensuring stable production, high product quality and continuous improvement.\nThe role offers hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing processes and the opportunity to work closely with Production, Quality, Equipment and R&D teams.\nYou will have the opportunity to develop your technical and analytical skills while contributing to the optimisation of processes that support the production of separator film for the next generation of lithium-ion batteries.\nWe value responsibility, collaboration, continuous learning and straightforward communication.
