We are a growing team looking for an Operations Manager (Carrier Capacity Focus) in the Operations Department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. The role is located in our Riga office, on-site.
WHAT YOU WILL DO …
- Find and secure suitable carriers for customer shipments, ensuring the required capacity and service level
- Coordinate transports and loads with carriers, negotiate freight rates and ensure smooth execution of deliveries
- Be the first point of contact for our carriers and build strong, long-term relationships with our logistics partners
- Monitor transport performance and KPIs, including on-time delivery, transit times and delivery exceptions
- Identify and investigate the root causes of delivery issues and take proactive measures to improve performance
- Manage operational processes related to carrier capacity and ensure customer requirements are successfully fulfilled
- Continuously expand our carrier network by identifying and onboarding new reliable transport partners
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR …
- An interest in logistics and transportation - previous experience in logistics is a plus, but not required
- Motivation to learn and develop in a fast-paced logistics environment
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while also working independently
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Resilience and the ability to stay calm and solution-oriented under pressure
- Fluency in English is a must
