Through technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, the Computer Operations Specialist delivers dependable IT support and contributes to a positive end-user experience.General ResponsibilitiesAssists with routine tasks, that are commonly associated with operating a computer in accordance with detailed instructions\nCoordinates on-site desktop support to business with PC Hardware/software needs\nAssists, develops and communicates technical, systems and application standards and ensures compliance with existing standards\nParticipates the maintenance of systems through completing documentation for testing and validation\nPerforms post-implementation support, identifying root cause with strategic solutions to problems\nWorks with vendors to analyze and troubleshoot solutions\nHelp identify new solutions and services for the desktop support team that align with business objectives\nParticipate in the training of fellow desktop administrators in organizational processes\nExperience / Qualifications\nA university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.\nBusiness ethics - Ability to practice and behave consistently and effectively in areas of business practice and conflicts of interest\nCommunication - Ability to communicate effectively by getting the right message across to the right people at the right time on a regular basis\nCustomer Orientation - Ability to meet customers’ expectations by identifying and anticipating customers’ needs and integrating these into work; ability to develop new added value for customers and act with the customer in mind\nResult orientation - Ability to take steps personally to ensure that mutual goals and performance targets are met within the appropriate timeframe\nTeamwork - Ability to work with others and work synergistically with fellow team-members\nPlanning and Organizing - Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work and schedules in all areas to meet requirements\nProblem solving - Ability to reach logical conclusions to situations by appropriately analyzing the situation.
