This position works closely with design engineers, equipment vendors, program managers, marketing, and quality engineers to support the development of new electromechanical products. They are responsible for providing the overall process design and suggesting measures to improve product design for manufacturability. This includes the development of new equipment and process flows as well as developing cost estimates for labor and capital. They will also provide ongoing sustaining support to production lines at our global make sites.General Responsibilities\nKey participant in the development of new production processes and/or adapt existing production processes for assembly, calibration and testing\nDefine specifications for production equipment and interact with mechanization (in house) and/or equipment suppliers to ensure equipment will meet specifications\nKey participant in global new product development project teams to enable successful launch of new products\nCollaborate with other departments on process specifications, quality aspects, product specifications and continuity of equipment\nInfluence product designs during new product development phase to ensure economical and defect free manufacture\nDeveloping new or improved manufacturing and testing processes that are necessary to achieve the performance and cost requirements of future device applications\nOrganize the arranging of sample lines and process development equipment\nKey participant in advanced quality planning activities\nCoordinates all functional requirements, the reviewing of designs and debugging /qualifying new high volume assembly /test equipment or tooling\nTransferring knowledge to make site personnel\nSupport improvement projects to reduce cycle time, defects and manufacturing costs\nWork with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure processes are capable, have sufficient controls in place, can meet out delivery requirements, and meet our cost targets\nEvaluate technical capabilities including tooling design, build experience, maintenance program, processes and process controls, cell automation- if required, quality control systems, and material knowledge\n Experience / Qualifications\nA university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience\nMust be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands\nStrong communication skills; oral, written and presentation\nStrong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results\nStrong personal and professional ethical values and integrity\nHolds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards\nProficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)\nStrong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers\nAdditional Hiring Requirements / Preferred Qualifications\nDemonstrated experience in manufacturing process development and New Product Introduction (NPI), with responsibility for transitioning new products from design to volume production.\nProven ability to develop, qualify, and industrialize assembly, calibration, and test processes for electromechanical products in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nStrong knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles, with experience partnering closely with Product Development, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure manufacturability and scalable production processes.\nHands-on experience with manufacturing equipment qualification, process validation, and production readiness activities, including the development of process documentation, work instructions, and control plans.\nTrack record of driving process capability improvements, yield enhancement, cycle-time reduction, and manufacturing cost optimization through data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience supporting product launches and ramp-up activities, including troubleshooting production issues, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring stable manufacturing performance.\nFamiliarity with electromechanical products, sensors, automotive components, or related industrial products is highly preferred.\nSmarterTogether\nCollaborating at Sensata means working with some of the world’s most talented people in an enriching environment that is constantly pushing towards the next best thing\n\nEmployees work across functions, countries and cultures gaining new perspectives through mutual respect and open communication\n\nAs OneSensata, we are working together to make things work together\n\nClick here to view Sensata Recruitment Privacy Statement\nClick here to view our Sensata Recruitment Privacy Statement for China\nNOTE: If you are a current Sensata employee (or one of our Affiliates), please back out of this application and log into Workday via the Company Intranet to apply directly.
