This process includes design, product validation, completing documentation and executing launch items for production. Complete all related drawings, documentation and release in internal systems.General Responsibilities\nLeverages engineering fundamentals and organization to make sound decisions on complex technical issues\nDetailed understanding of market and implications for business\nProactively challenge and drives the organization to deliver improved quality and performance related to engineering design\nProduct Strategy participant and driver\nMaintain product documentation (drawings and specifications)\nDirect interaction with customers to solicit product specifications requirements, schedule expectations and budget\nCorrosion research and welding characterization & has a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, mechanics, fluid, thermo and heat transfer\nAdvanced knowledge of basic electrical circuits, microelectronic assembly, statistical methods, process control fundamentals and product test processes\nFamiliarity with manufacturing methods - welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding, machining, stamping, molding, and forming. Basic knowledge of core manufacturing processes\nLead mechanical design activities while participating on cross-functional New Product Development (NPD) teams\nAssist with design prototype builds and production validation activities in collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and supply\nFamiliarity with design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling\nExperience / Qualifications\nA university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience\nMust be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands\nStrong communication skills; oral, written and presentation\nStrong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results\nStrong personal and professional ethical values and integrity\nHolds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards\nProficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)\nStrong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers\n5+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development.\nProficiency in 3D CAD tools and engineering drawing creation.\nStrong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and product validation methods.\nExperience leading mechanical design activities within new product development projects.\nKnowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and Design for Manufacturing principles.\nExperience supporting prototypes through product launch and production transfer.\nGross Annual Salary Range:\n27,814.00 EUR - 38,244.80 EURThe salary range is published in line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and relevant country legislation.\nStarting Salary\nThe starting salary offered will be based on objective, gender-neutral criteria , (e.g internal equivalency, relevant skills, experience, qualifications etc.).
