It is well suited for an engineer who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, improving process capability, collaborating across functions, and contributing directly to the industrialization of new products.\nGeneral Responsibilities\nSupportcross-functionalproject activities related to manufacturing process development, equipment readiness, industrialization, and product launch.\nRepresent manufacturing engineering incustomer, supplier, and internal project discussionsrequiring coordination acrossfunctions and sites.\nIdentifyprocess risks, proposemitigationactions, and drive continuous improvementopportunities.\nDefinemanufacturing strategies aimed at robust, efficient, and defect-free production.\nPreparespecifications for production equipment andcoordinate with internal mechanization teams or externalsuppliers to ensure equipmentmeets process and product requirements.\nCollaborate withdesign, quality, production, and project teams on process specifications, product requirements, quality expectations, and equipmentcontinuity.\nDevelopnew or improved manufacturing and testing processesrequired to meetperformance, quality, andcostobjectivesforfutureapplications.\nContribute tothe successful launch of new productsand support production ramp-up activities.\nSupportadvanced quality planning activities, including process qualification, risk assessment, and control planning.\nProvide inputon functional requirements,review equipment or toolingdesigns, and supportdebuggingand qualification ofhigh-volume assembly,test equipment,or tooling.\nSupportimprovement projectsfocused on reducingcycle time, defects,and manufacturing cost.\nWorkwith suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure processes are capable,controlled, cost-effective, and aligned withdelivery requirements.\nEvaluateinternal and suppliertechnical capabilities,includingtooling design, build experience, maintenanceapproach, process controls,automationreadiness, qualitysystems, and materials knowledge.\nExperience / Qualifications\nUniversitydegreerequired, such as aBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant work experience.\nExperience in process or manufacturing engineering within an industrial production environment.\nExperience with New Product Introduction, industrialization, manufacturing transfers, production launches, process improvement, or equipment implementation.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and common quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, PPAP, and Root Cause Analysis.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.\nStrong communication, presentation, organization, planning, and time management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nStrong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions, sites, suppliers, and external partners.\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.\nFluent in English.\nSmarterTogether\nCollaborating at Sensata means working with some of the world’s most talented people in an enriching environment that is constantly pushing towards the next best thing\n\nEmployees work across functions, countries and cultures gaining new perspectives through mutual respect and open communication\n\nAs OneSensata, we are working together to make things work together\n\nClick here to view Sensata Recruitment Privacy Statement\nClick here to view our Sensata Recruitment Privacy Statement for China\nNOTE: If you are a current Sensata employee (or one of our Affiliates), please back out of this application and log into Workday via the Company Intranet to apply directly.
