Represent Sense professionally, building positive relationships with clients, contractors and other consultants.\nKnowledge Development: Enhance your technical expertise and stay current on industry trends and best practices\nTechnical Responsibilities:\nManage restoration projects from initial design phase to completion\nLead proposal development, including scope definition, fee estimation, scheduling, and resource planning\nConduct site investigations and evaluations\nPrepare detailed technical reports of findings, provide recommendations on project concept, and provide direction during construction phase\nPrepare detailed restoration design, including scopes of work, specifications, and drawings\nChair client meetings and communicate design updates, changes, and key project milestones to contractors and other engineering and architectural disciplines\nManage the tendering process and oversee contract administration, including bid preparation, contractor selection, and review of invoices and change orders\nRepresent Sense at industry events and other networking functions\nCommitment to continuous learning by staying updated with industry trends, codes, and best practices\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers\nOccasional travel within Canada required, with the majority of projects to be within Alberta\nOther duties as assigned/required\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university\nMinimum 5 years of Building Envelope and/or Structural Restoration experience \nRegistered with or eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)\nProven ability to apply project management principles, from strategic planning and budgeting to resource allocation and scope control\nExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and relationship building skills with a proven ability to build trust with clients and contractors\nGood working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.\nStrong work ethic and attention to detail coupled with a client-centric mindset\nCommitment to creative thinking and approaching challenges from fresh perspectives, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the organization\nValid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required\nWhy Join Sense Engineering?\nJoin a vibrant and supportive team of dedicated professionals who value collaboration and camaraderie - plus, we make time for fun with our monthly social events!\nWork on impactful projects with leading clients and contractors.\nEnjoy opportunities for professional development and knowledge sharing.\nCompetitive salary and benefits package including profit sharing twice a year.\nEventual opportunities to purchase shares in a successful and growing company.\n\nWe appreciate the time and effort of all applicants, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
