You can learn more about our Lana'i golf experience and read our story.\nPosition Description:\nThis position reports to the Director of Agronomy and Landscaping and is responsible for managing the golf course maintenance staff and is responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, leading the team, and performance management. The Superintendent oversees the golf course maintenance, making necessary recommendations and decisions to make to ensure optimal course conditions prevail year-round.\nResponsibilities:\nSchedule and plan irrigation systems, pesticide applications, related recordings, and compliance with regulatory issues.\nWork closely with, advise, and coordinate with the Director of Agronomy & Landscape on any issues related to golf course maintenance and landscape operations\nProvide technical, operational and safety training for employees to ensure that staff is working within OSHA, safety, state and federal guidelines for safe working conditions\nTrain and oversee staff in proper and safe operation and maintenance of mechanical and power equipment\nHire, train, supervise and motivate staff\nSchedule, and monitor daily operations, including work assignments and oversight of project completion\nMake recommendations regarding agronomic planning\nOversee employee relations within the department including performance reviews and corrective actions\nMaintain purchase order system and efficient invoice processes\nAccountable for the departmental operating budget, monitor, and control departmental operating budget\nMaintain daily logs & reports to track agronomic systems data, climate predictions, and chemical and pesticide application\nMaintain knowledge of all technology platforms and applications required for proper maintenance of facilities and grounds\nMaintain and monitor execution and follow-through of agreed upon daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly communication meetings and resulting actions items and initiatives\nMaintain a strong unwavering commitment to ensure employees are well cared for in their daily work and that wellbeing activities and opportunities for growth are provided\nAny and all related duties as assigned by the Director of Agronomy & Landscape\nUnderstand the Sensei mission, philosophy and brand standards and develop a team culture around the core company mission\nEnsure standard operating practices (SOPs) are in place and regularly updated\nLead by example with the ability to mentor, inspire, empathize and establish and communicate clear expectations aligned with the Sensei Culture, brand standards of guest experience and service guidelines\nBe familiar with the existing and emerging health and safety protocols associated with COVID-19 and how such events have impacted our business, guests, and employees\nSpecial projects or other duties as assigned\nLeadership - Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote, and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers\nCustomer Service - Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns;
