You will be responsible for building resilient APIs, setting up event-driven streams using Apache Kafka, optimising sub-second caching with Redis, and maintaining strict ACID database consistency across high-volume loan calculations and repayment transactions.\nResponsibilities:\nHands-on Development and Architecture (70%+ time): Design, write, and maintain scalable Java code, driving core component design, API modelling, and rigorous code reviews for the client platform.\nLegacy-to-Microservices Modernisation: Work closely with the client's product and architecture teams to extract monolithic legacy components (disbursement engines, EMI schedules, interest calculators, and repayment workflows) into decoupled Spring Boot microservices.\nEvent-Driven Architecture: Build reliable, asynchronous messaging pipelines using Apache Kafka for real-time transaction streaming and system integration across internal and partner services.\nDatabase and Caching Performance: Architect strict ACID-compliant schemas using MySQL / PostgreSQL to preserve data integrity across financial ledgers.
