In this position, you will provide leadership, guidance and development on a team of Master Control Operators. You will assist with training and skills development for members of your team.\nMajor Responsibilities:\nSupervise the “day to day” operations of the Media Operations Center\nSupport the team during Live Local News and Local/Network Sports Events. \nAssist the Sr. Manager of the Media Operation Center with the creation, training, implementation of new processes and workflows.\nSupport and in cases, oversee training initiatives for Master Control Operators\nAct as a liaison for the group between clients and partners in order to strengthen partnerships with Master Control (Station General Manager, Traffic Department, On Air Promotion, Programming, Engineering, etc.).\nPerform the duties of Master Control Operator when needed\nAdditional responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nConsistently check in with staff and update regularly about workflow processes and changes made for the “day to day”\nEnsure completion of daily tasks\nActively participate in developing positive employee relations \nPrepare performance evaluations, writing and participating in yearly reviews\nTake responsibility for the work environment, both culturally and physically\nManage staffing needs to include attendance issues, resolving Call-Ins and all unscheduled shifts.\nAssist with special projects as necessary\nApproach operations and resourcing using an agile and lean mindset.\nCompile data and/or generate reports, as needed.\nQualifications:\n3+ Years experience as Master Control Operator or Technicians in Master Control and Ingest Areas of Television and Content Media Companies.\nExperience with On Air Master Control Automation Systems\nExperience with Cloud Automation Playout System - AMAGI CLOUDPORT (A PLUS) \nExperience in troubleshooting operational issues (Playout, Media, Caption, etc.).\nExperience with digital workflows and digital video technologies.\nExperience with Systems and Hardware for Content Ingest, Playout and Distribution.\nExperience in Switching Live Local News and Sporting Events. (A MUST)\nExperience in Local Station Operations.\nAvailable to work any shift in a 24/7 Operation as well as holidays and weekends.\nExcellent Writing Skills of Technical Operating Procedures.
