The ideal candidate is not only a strong systems administrator, but also someone who understands infrastructure architecture, can drive strategic improvements, and enjoys collaborating closely with team members through knowledge sharing and mentorship.\nThis is a contract to hire position located onsite in Cicero, Illinois\nQualifications\nSignificant hands-on experience administering and supporting enterprise VMware environments.\nStrong expertise with:VMware vSphere\nESXi\nvCenter\nVMware lifecycle management, upgrades, and performance optimization\nActive Directory\nMicrosoft 365\nEntra ID\nIntune\n\nExperience designing, managing, and troubleshooting highly available virtualized environments.\nExperience supporting hybrid Microsoft infrastructure environments hosted on VMware platforms.\nStrong understanding of storage, compute, networking, and virtualization concepts.\nExperience with VMware capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.\nStrong understanding of identity and access management principles.\nExperience with PowerShell scripting and automation.\nProven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across VMware and Microsoft technology stacks.\nExperience documenting environments, implementing standards, and driving infrastructure improvements.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.\nLegally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.\nMust demonstrate a \"can-do\" attitude.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.\nEquivalent combination of professional experience and technical expertise will also be considered.\nVMware certifications (VCP, VCAP) highly preferred.\nRelevant Microsoft infrastructure certifications are a plus.\nExperience participating in virtualization migrations, datacenter transformations, or infrastructure modernization projects.\nCompensation Range:\n$48-$57 per hour\nWhat you get:\nWe offer weekly competitive pay, medical, dental, vision, 401K and more.\nOverview\nMOTIVATED…..make IT happen!\nSentinel Technologies, Inc. has been rated a top workplace every year since 2012!\nAbout Us:\nSentinel delivers solutions that can efficiently address a range of IT needs - from security, to communications, to systems & networks, to software applications, to cloud and managed services; all of which include our staffing solutions for our clients.
