As a Marketing Operations Analyst (Data & Systems), you will be tasked with getting under the hood of complex systems to solve data puzzles, in a technical research and optimization role focused on the integrity of our marketing engine rather than campaign execution. As a skilled Marketo and Salesforce user, you will act as our lead investigator, performing deep-dive audits, cleaning up legacy data, and analyzing system architecture to figure out why things are functioning the way they are, and how AI tools can help you fix it faster and at greater scale. You will serve as the Secondary Administrator for our MarTech stack, providing essential support, AI-informed recommendations, and strategic guidance to the primary admins.

What Will You Do?

Primary responsibilities include:

• Technical research and diagnostics: conduct deep-dive audits into system behaviors, sync errors, and workflow logic, using AI tools to accelerate pattern detection and root-cause analysis, to identify why data discrepancies occur.
• Data hygiene and cleanup: lead ongoing initiatives to de-duplicate records, normalize data fields, and overhaul legacy processes within Marketo and Salesforce, applying AI-driven tools to scale cleanup beyond manual review.
• Prescriptive problem solving: go beyond finding the bugs and design the fix, drafting technical requirements and prescribing solutions to improve system efficiency.
• Advanced reporting and analysis: maintain lifecycle models and ensure leads are moving through the funnel correctly, using AI to surface anomalies and bottlenecks that manual reporting would miss or catch late.
• Secondary administration: support the primary admins in managing the connective tissue of our stack, including but not limited to Reachdesk, Qualified, Demandbase, Pathfactory, and Splash.
• Systems documentation: create and update technical documentation to ensure our logic (scoring, routing, and lifecycle stages) is transparent and scalable.
• Deliver against clear success measures, including reducing the sync error rate between Marketo and Salesforce by 50 percent in the first six months; standardizing data entry points to ensure 100 percent accuracy in lead source reporting; and proactively identifying workflow bottlenecks before they impact the Sales team's outreach.

What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?

Ideal candidates will have:

• 3 or more years in Marketing Operations with a heavy focus on data analysis and systems architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in Marketo and Salesforce, with comfort navigating complex smart lists, flow actions, custom objects, and report builders.
• An analytical mindset, enjoying technical troubleshooting and with a high tolerance for auditing thousands of rows of data to find a single logic error.
• The ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
• A systems lens, understanding how changes in one tool ripple through to Salesforce and ultimately impact reporting.
• AI fluency, with comfort using AI tools (for example Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to draft workflow logic, query syntax, and technical documentation, and to accelerate data analysis, not just as a novelty but as a core part of how you work.
• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience.

This U.S. role has a base pay range that will vary based on the location of the candidate. For some locations, a different pay range may apply.  If so, this range will be provided to you during the recruiting process. You can also reach out to the recruiter with any questions.

Base Salary Range

$92,800—$128,000 USD
