Unjammable fiber optic and AI controlled drones are making the threat cheaper, faster, and harder to stop. This problem will only get worse. \nSentradel is a defense startup building autonomous, low cost kinetic turret systems designed to defeat Group 1 (small FPV drones) and low flying Group 2 drone threats. We have shot down dozens of drones in live fire testing, have active Department of War agreements, commercial partnerships, and sales.\nHow we work\nFull time, in person at our Minden, Nevada office. We also travel and test frequently at ranges across the US with partners and customers.\nJob Overview\nFPV drones are small, fast, and hard to track. Even expensive systems have not fully solved this problem. We are seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to build the perception stack and push the limits on detection range using low cost sensors and edge compute.\nResponsibilities\nBuild and own the perception stack: detection, tracking, and real time video pipelines\nDeploy and optimize models on embedded GPUs (NVIDIA Jetson)\nPush detection range on low cost sensors\nQualifications\nYou have shipped real time CV systems in production, not post processing or school projects\nExperience with drone or small object detection and tracking\nExperience running models on embedded GPUs and the NVIDIA Jetson ecosystem\nExperience building real time video pipelines\nCUDA experience\nUS Person Requirement\nSentradel is a US defense contractor and this role involves access to export-controlled technical data.
