This problem will only get worse. \nSentradel is a defense startup building autonomous, low cost kinetic turret systems designed to defeat Group 1 (small FPV drones) and low flying Group 2 drone threats. We have shot down dozens of drones in live fire testing, have active Department of War agreements, commercial partnerships, and sales.\nHow we work\nFull time, in person at our Minden, Nevada office. We also travel and test frequently at ranges across the US with partners and customers.\nJob Overview\nWe are seeking a mechanical engineer to join the team developing Sentradel’s next generation counter UAS platform. You will design, iterate, test, and build the mechanical systems of the turret.\nResponsibilities\nRedesign and optimize components on the current product generation to reduce manufacturing time, cost, and complexity\nDesign components for the next product generation\nCreate part and assembly designs in Fusion 360\nWork closely with the manufacturing team to keep designs manufacturable and iterate quickly\nQualifications\nSubstantial experience with part design and 3D modeling in Fusion 360\nExperience designing parts machined on a 3 axis CNC, primarily aluminum\nExperience with additive manufacturing\nDeep understanding of designs for manufacturability, i.e., CNC vs additive\nUS Person Requirement\nSentradel is a US defense contractor and this role involves access to export-controlled technical data.
