The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines. Tasks include plumbing work, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs, and heating and air conditioning system maintenance.\nThis is an in-person position located on-site of the property. This position requires a rotating on-call schedule.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPrioritize above all a strong customer service outlook through personal contact with residents and guests \nPerform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance \nConduct preventative maintenance work and safety inspections as scheduled \nDiagnose mechanical issues and correct them \nRepair machines, equipment, or structures as necessary \nClean the interior of the building, as well as machinery and equipment, and the exterior of the building \nComply with all safety and health regulations \nKeep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor \nWork with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors \nRespond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs \nMust be available to work on an on-call basis. \nPerform other related duties and assignments as needed and assigned. \nSkills and Experience \nHigh school diploma or GED \nProven maintenance experience or related degree from a technical college \nSkilled in the use of hand and power tools \nAbility to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts \nAbility to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary \nAbility to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches \nExperience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices \nExperience performing routine maintenance \nStrong organizational and follow up skills \nKeen attention to detail \nProfessional presentation and attitude \nAbility to maintain focus while working individually \nStrong time management skills \nCPO and HVAC certifications are required \nKnowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is a plus \nAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents \nAbility to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors \nMay be required to work outside of regular work hours \nCommunity Team Perks + Benefits\nHealth & Wellness: We offer multiple medical, dental, and vision health plan options that begin the first month after your start date!
