The Bartender is in charge of managing drink orders at a bar and restaurant or private event to keep guests and residents satisfied during meals +/or social gatherings. Bartenders have extensive knowledge of common drinks which they use to recommend drinks to guests and residents, prepare cocktails, pour beers and properly decant wines. Bartenders also entertain guests and residents who sit at the bar by providing stimulating conversation and excellent customer service while filling drink orders for other guests and residents. Their role is to ensure that guests and residents are of legal drinking age and then prepare a requested drink to their specifications.\nThis is an in-person, part time position located on-site of the property.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nVerify identification and age requirements of guests and residents \nMix traditional and creative cocktails \nPrepare alcoholic + non-alcoholic beverages and coffee drinks for bar and restaurant patrons \nMemorize recipes to prepare cocktails \nProcess payment from guests and residents \nUnderstand all spirits, mixers, homemade ingredients, wines and beers \nRestock and replenish bar inventory and supplies \nDisplay a sense of urgency to nurture a consistent and excellent guest experience \nComply with all food and beverage regulations \nMake suggestions based on guest and resident tastes and preferences \nRecord and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits \nOpen and maintain tabs throughout their shift \nBuild a rapport with regular guests and residents to create a positive atmosphere \nGreet guests and residents and organize order queue \nExplain our unique service model to guests and residents \nGuide guests through the food and beverage menus \nUnderstand preparation of menu items, allergen information, cocktails and wines \nTake food and beverage orders, assign guests to tables/bar seats, and direct them to a teammate to be seated \nMaintain communication with teammates to best manage seating availability \nDeliver food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately \nKeep dining room clean, organized, and properly set throughout the shift \nPerform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor \nAssist with special events and fill in for absent staff as needed \nUse conflict resolution to promptly address customer service issues and refer guests and residents to management when necessary \nGreet, welcome, and connect with guests \nMaintain service quality standards by delivering premium guest service and treating each guest as a VIP \nAnticipate guest needs and provide tailored experiences \nHandle all guest exchanges in an efficient, professional, and competent manner \nUtilize all equipment safely and correctly \nPerform other related duties and assignments as needed and assigned \nSkills and Experience \nKnowledge of applicable laws and regulations \nPrior knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving classic cocktails \nComputer literacy + general math skills \nKnowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails \nUnderstanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings \nImpeccable customer service and social perceptiveness \nPositive attitude and excellent communication skills \nAbility to evaluate guest and resident satisfaction and responsiveness \nAbility to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol \nAccountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments \nAbility to multitask and adapt quickly \nAbility to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean \nAbility to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment \nAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays \nCommunity Team Perks + Benefits\nHealth & Wellness: We offer multiple medical, dental, and vision health plan options that begin the first month after your start date!
