We need a Senior engineer to build the platform those agents run on, so product teams can ship new AI features without rebuilding the plumbing every time.\nIn this role you will\nBuild state-of-the-art agentic AI platforms to triage, debug, and solve real production issues\n\nMake every run debuggable: traces, cost and latency per run, and enough context to explain a bad answer\n\nBuild eval and rollout tooling so we can swap models without guessing\n\nKeep it flexible enough that next quarter's model or protocol is an upgrade, not a rewrite\n\nLeverage Sentry’s novel (and massive) dataset of errors, spans, and profiles\n\nOwn major AI initiatives, building alongside developers and product teams\n\nYou'll love this job if you\nAre driven by impact and enjoy working on high-stakes, high-visibility projects\n\nEnjoy building things. You will have the opportunity to join the AI/ML team as one of its foundational members\n\nThrive in cross-functional teams and enjoy building features alongside developers and product teams\n\nQualifications\nYou have 5+ years building production systems, including LLM-backed products, and can point to one people relied on\n\nYou write solid production Python and TypeScript\n\nYou have good distributed-systems instincts: timeouts, idempotency, failure modes\n\nModel training experience is a plus, not a requirement\n\nThe base salary range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $155,000 to $400,000 USD. A successful candidate’s actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate’s position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage).
