The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful project design experience across a range of construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design process, developing construction documents, working with project managers, and ensuring that projects are designed within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead the design process from concept to construction documents, working closely with clients, consultants, and team members\nDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and construction documents\nOversee and manage construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings and conducting site visits\nEnsure that projects comply with building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements\nCollaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to resolve design issues and ensure that construction meets design intent\nManage project teams and mentor junior staff\nAttend client meetings, presentations, and project interviews\nMaintain accurate project documentation and ensure that project files are up-to-date\nCommunicate regularly with clients and team members to ensure that project objectives are being met\nContinuously improve the design and documentation process to enhance efficiency and quality\nQualifications:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in civil design and project management\nLicensed engineer in South Dakota or able to obtain a license within 6 months of hire\nProficiency in civil design software \nStrong design and technical skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously\nExperience with commercial and infrastructure projects\nProficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc\nOur firm offers a competitive salary and benefits package and many opportunities for professional growth and development.
