Our growing team is looking for a Solutions Engineer to deliver that measurement for the companies and project developers investing in regenerative agriculture. In this role, you'll own client projects from first conversation to delivered result, shape how our science is applied in the field, and turn what each project teaches us into a stronger product.\nWe're looking for someone curious about the science, rigorous with data and code and comfortable in front of a client: someone who enjoys owning a problem and seeing it through. You'll work alongside business development, data scientists and engineers, applying our methodology to real farms, real data and real deadlines. You will join a cross-functional, mission-driven team dedicated to bringing transparency and integrity to climate action.\nImpact You’ll Own\nSolutions Engineers provide a variety of services and deliverables to clients and internal stakeholders, owning the long-term success and impact of the solutions we build and use.\nOwn client projects end to end: from scoping to delivered results, reports and maps, as the client’s technical counterpart in workshops and results presentations.\n\nShape how carbon gets measured: design the sampling strategy and estimation approach for each project, from design-based to model-based, and make the calls that let our results stand up to the scrutiny of verifiers and carbon standards.\n\nTurn project work into product: identify what our pipeline should learn from each project, and build it into the shared codebase the team relies on.\n\nSharpen our methodology: run the analyses that show how our methods perform and where they can improve, drawing on the latest research and standards in soil carbon.\n\nEnable long-term impact: results that can be traced and reproduced years later, with ex-post analyses showing how estimates hold up as new data comes in.\n\nHelp set the standard: over time, lead projects with new approaches, define the practices our team builds on, and help clients and the industry raise the bar on how soil carbon is measured.\n\nWhat You Bring\n3+ years working with geospatial data in Python (e.g. GeoPandas, Rasterio, GEE) and GIS software (e.g. QGIS), in industry or applied research\n\nA solid foundation in statistics and machine learning applied to spatial or environmental data, such as sampling design, spatial modelling, model validation or uncertainty estimation\n\nExperience writing clean, collaborative code (Git, code reviews, reproducible workflows), using AI tools effectively and critically, and finding your way quickly in an existing codebase\n\nExperience owning projects end to end and making sound decisions when not everything is known\n\nClear communication with technical and non-technical audiences, and a genuine drive to contribute to climate action\n\nFluency in English\n\nWhat Makes You Stand Out\nGeostatistics (e.g. kriging) or digital soil mapping\n\nExperience with soil, agricultural or remote sensing data\n\nFamiliarity with carbon markets or standards such as Verra’s VM0042 or the EU CRCF\n\nHands-on experience training and validating ML models for spatial prediction\n\nClient-facing experience, e.g. in consulting or technical pre-sales\n\nProduction engineering practices such as CI/CD, testing or pipeline tooling\n\nBenefits While Working At Seqana\nReal ownership, and a direct line from your work to measurable climate impact\n\nBe part of our highly motivated, committed, and international team with flat hierarchies that is working on solving one of society’s biggest challenges: climate change\n\nWitness and shape the evolution of a new business being built\n\nHard, open problems, tackled with design docs, honest debate and scientific integrity\n\nRemote-friendly: up to 4 days/week remote when based in Berlin, or fully remote from elsewhere in Germany, with flexible hours\n\nDrinks, snacks, team events, and your choice of hardware\n\nSeqana is committed to building a workplace culture based on the values of proactivity, authenticity, creativity, and empathy, where equal employment opportunity is guaranteed to all applicants and team members regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, sex, sexual identity, religion, or disability.
