We recently expanded our capabilities beyond RUO to support clinical trials for our Clients, in addition to incorporating novel technologies such as Spatial Transcriptomics, Epigenetics, Proteomics and Histopathology.\nRole Overview\nWe are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Scientist to support and expand our Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) operations. This role will be instrumental in onboarding new services, developing and optimizing workflows, and supporting day-to-day NGS laboratory activities, particularly in library preparation.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, technically strong in NGS methods, and excited to drive process improvements in a dynamic lab environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the onboarding of new NGS service offerings, including workflow design, validation, and implementation\nDevelop, optimize, and troubleshoot NGS library preparation protocols across multiple platforms and applications\nExecute daily NGS lab operations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and high-quality outputs\nEvaluate and improve existing workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and turnaround time\nCollaborate cross-functionally with bioinformatics, operations, and quality teams to ensure seamless service delivery\nDocument SOPs, validation reports, and process updates in compliance with quality standards\nTrain and mentor lab staff on new workflows and best practices\nQualifications\nRequired:\nMaster’s or Doctorate degree in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biotechnology, or related field\n5+ years of hands-on experience in an NGS laboratory environment\nStrong expertise in NGS library preparation techniques (e.g., WGS, RNA-seq, targeted panels, etc.)\nExperience in workflow optimization, assay development, or process improvement\nFamiliarity with sequencing platforms (e.g., Illumina, PacBio, Oxford Nanopore)\nStrong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting skills\nExcellent documentation and communication abilities\nPreferred:\nExperience on-boarding new assays or services in a clinical or commercial lab setting\nKnowledge of quality systems (CLIA, CAP, GLP, or similar)\nExposure to automation platforms for library preparation\nBasic understanding of NGS bioinformatic analysis
