We recently expanded our capabilities beyond RUO to support clinical trials for our Clients, in addition to incorporating novel technologies such as Spatial Transcriptomics, Epigenetics, Proteomics and Histopathology.\nAbout the Opportunity\nSeqMatic has a Research Associate I position open to join our DNA sequencing services teams. The position requires a strong background in molecular biology, particularly nucleic acid purification and NGS / Omics workflows. We offer a competitive salary, bonus, 401K matching, company lunch program, and medical/dental/vision benefits.\nKey Responsibilities\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nSample accessioning using LIMS\nPerform high-quality DNA and RNA extractions from a diverse range of sample types (blood, cells, frozen tissue, FFPE material) utilizing both manual protocols and automated liquid handling workflows\nPrepare sequencing libraries from single-cells, DNA, and/or RNA\nOperate Illumina sequencing instruments and other common laboratory equipment such as thermocyclers, qPCR machines, and benchtop centrifuges\nOrganize and maintain detailed experimental records and follow lab procedures\nCommunicate in person and electronically with customers and team members\nDemonstrate strong teamwork by proactively utilizing instrumental and incubation downtime to assist colleagues and complete essential lab chores (such as reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, tracking inventory, and restocking consumables)\nMaintain strict, detailed, and meticulous laboratory worksheets and electronic records to adhere to CLIA/CAP quality standards\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related science;\n1+ years of hands-on experience with DNA and/or RNA extractions required;\n1+ years of hands-on experience of Next Generation Sequencing library preparation (Illumina TruSeq, Nextera, Exome, etc.) required;\n1+ years of hands-on experience operating Illumina sequencers (MiSeq, NextSeq, and/or NovaSeq) preferred but not required.\nMust be highly detail-oriented and have strong lab and analytical skills;\nExperience working in clinical lab setting is preferred but not required;\nSolid English language communication skills\nAbility to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines;
