We recently expanded our capabilities beyond RUO to support clinical trials for our Clients, in addition to incorporating novel technologies such as Spatial Transcriptomics, Epigenetics, Proteomics and Histopathology.\nAbout the Opportunity\nSeqMatic has a Research Associate position open to join our single cell sequencing services team. The position requires a strong background in molecular biology, particularly nucleic acid purification and NGS / Omics workflows. We offer a competitive salary, bonus, 401K matching, company lunch program, and medical/dental/vision benefits.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nSample accessioning and tracking using LIMS.\nReceive, process, and organize customer samples while maintaining chain of custody and sample integrity.\nExtract and purify total RNA from a variety of sample types including FFPE tissues, fresh frozen tissues, blood, PBMCs, cultured cells, and other biological specimens.\nPerform RNA quality control using instruments such as Agilent TapeStation, Bioanalyzer, NanoDrop, and Qubit.\nPrepare bulk RNA sequencing libraries using commercial and custom workflows, including poly(A) selection, rRNA depletion, stranded total RNA-seq, mRNA-seq, and small RNA library preparation methods.\nOperate common laboratory equipment including thermocyclers, qPCR systems, automated liquid handlers, and benchtop centrifuges.\nMaintain detailed experimental records in accordance with laboratory procedures and quality standards.\nAssist with process optimization, troubleshooting, technology evaluations, and implementation of new RNA-seq workflows.\nCommunicate effectively with customers and internal team members regarding project status and technical issues.\nQualification Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology, or a related life science field.\n2+ years of hands-on molecular biology laboratory experience.\n2+ years of experience performing RNA extraction and purification from a variety of biological sample types.\n2+ years of experience preparing next-generation sequencing libraries, preferably RNA sequencing libraries.\nExperience with RNA quality assessment using Agilent TapeStation, Bioanalyzer, Qubit, NanoDrop, or equivalent platforms.\nExperience with Illumina-based NGS workflows and library preparation kits.\nFamiliarity with RNA-seq methods including mRNA-seq, total RNA-seq, small RNA-seq, and low-input RNA applications.\nExperience working with FFPE samples is highly desirable.\nExperience with laboratory automation platforms such as Beckman Coulter, Hamilton, Agilent Bravo, or Opentrons is a plus.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to generating high-quality data.\nExcellent organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.\nSolid verbal and written English communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United
