The position requires a strong background in molecular biology, particularly nucleic acid purification and NGS / Omics workflows. We offer a competitive salary, bonus, 401K matching, company lunch program, and medical/dental/vision benefits.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nSample accessioning using LIMS;\nOrganize and maintain detailed experimental records and follow lab procedures\nPrepare cells and tissues using manual and automated protocols;\nPrepare sequencing libraries from single cells and nuclei using workflows from 10x Genomics and Parse Biosciences;\nOperate other common laboratory equipment such as thermocyclers, qPCR machines, and benchtop centrifuges;\nOrganize and maintain detailed experimental records and follow lab procedures;\nCommunicate in person and electronically with customers and team members\nQualification Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related science;\n2+ years of hands-on experience working with cell and tissue cultures;\n2+ years of hands-on experience performing cell and nuclei isolations using manual and automated methods such as from Miltenyi gentleMACS;\n2+ years of hands-on experience of single cell library preparation (10x Genomics, Parse Biosciences, Takara SmartSeq, etc.);\nTo support our “Onsite-seq” offering, occasional travel within 50 miles of our Fremont lab will be required;\nMust be highly detail-oriented and have strong lab and analytical skills;\nExperience working in clinical lab setting is preferred but not required;\nSolid English language communication skills;\nAbility to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines;
