The ideal candidate will have experience working in a construction environment, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to assist with a variety of site-related tasks.\nSkills/Qualifications:\nMinimum of 2 years of construction experience\nAt least 6 months of articulated dump truck operating experience\nStrong knowledge of construction site safety practices\nAbility to obtain required certifications and training\nAbility to meet physical fitness and fit-for-duty requirements\nDependable, team-oriented, and safety-focused\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nMaintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.\nKeeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs.\nUpdates job knowledge by participating in training opportunities.\nTake actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.\nPrepares work by studying and clarifying instructions and diagrams; calculating requirements; gathering supplies.\nCoordinate machine actions with other activities, position or move loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members\nSafely move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials using articulated dump trucks.\nAccomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.\nThis position is also responsible for tasks involving physical labor at construction sites and assisting other workers\nEmployees may operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.\nControl traffic passing near, in, or around work zones with appropriate training provided.\nSignal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials with appropriate training provided.\nDig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes\nClean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards\nThey may also clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble other waste materials\nLoad, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools while distributing them to the appropriate locations\nSequoia Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
