This role provides technical leadership on complex environmental projects, oversees environmental programs, manages regulatory relationships, and drives continuous improvement efforts related to air quality, water resources, waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability performance.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nLead environmental compliance programs across multiple facilities.\nInterpret and apply federal, state, and local environmental regulations.\nDevelop and maintain environmental permits, licenses, and regulatory submissions.\nServe as the primary point of contact for environmental regulatory agencies and external auditors.\nProvide technical expertise on environmental engineering projects and studies.\nLead environmental impact assessments, due diligence investigations, and remediation efforts.\nReview engineering designs and operational changes for environmental compliance implications.\nMentor junior engineers and environmental professionals.\nEstablish environmental performance metrics and reporting systems.\nIdentify opportunities to improve environmental performance while reducing operating costs.\nManage environmental projects from planning through execution and closeout.\nPrepare budgets, schedules, scope documents, and project deliverables.\nCoordinate activities with operations, engineering, maintenance, and leadership teams.\nManage environmental consultants, contractors, and laboratory services.\nConduct environmental audits and corrective action programs.\nConduct environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.\nLead investigations of environmental incidents, spills, permit deviations, and compliance concerns.\nSupport emergency preparedness and environmental response planning.\nRequires Skills & Abilities\nStrong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance systems.\nExperience managing complex environmental projects and regulatory interactions.\nDemonstrated leadership and project management experience.\nStrong analytical, technical writing, and presentation skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental data management systems.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\n8+ years of environmental engineering, compliance, or sustainability experience.\nExperience with Oregon DEQ preferred.\nPhysical Requirements\nCombination of office, laboratory, manufacturing, and field environments.\nFrequent site visits and occasional travel to support operations and regulatory activities.\nMay require work in varied weather conditions and operational
