This position reports into the Manufacturing organization and serves as the bridge between product development activities and day-to-day manufacturing operations.\nESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES\nSensor Engineering\nHelps to conceive and execute creative solutions for electromechanical design development efforts.\nParticipates in research programs for the development of new products and interprets test results.\nDevelops and commissions prototypes, specialized test apparatus, and data acquisition equipment as required to support research investigations.\nCreates and reviews specifications, schematics, and bills of materials necessary to fully document new products for full-scale production.\nSupports qualification testing and transition of newly developed products into production.\nWorks cooperatively and harmoniously with internal/external customers and fellow project team members, both cross-functionally and globally.\nAssists with project planning and project updates.\nParticipates in and conducts design reviews.\nManufacturing Support\nProvides equipment programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for production equipment.\nPerforms day-to-day monitoring of manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure consistent output and quality.\nSupports implementation of new product designs into production.\nLeads or supports initiatives to improve manufacturing processes and equipment.\nProvides general manufacturing support for existing products, including obsolete component replacement and new build support.\nPerforms failure analysis and root cause determination on manufacturing/production issues.\nMaintains and updates manufacturing documentation.\nSupports specialized component and sub-assembly manufacturing operations.\nPerforms other related duties as necessary.\nSKILLS NECESSARY TO PERFORM POSITION DUTIES\nSound knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering fundamentals.\nCompetency in data analysis and programming tools such as Matlab.\nExperience in signal processing and data analysis; processing of seismic data is a plus.\nCAD software training (preferably CREO software).\nKnowledge of vibration measurements and analysis.\nIn-depth knowledge of machining and fabrication techniques.\nWorking knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment programming, operation, and maintenance.\nFamiliarity with process and equipment improvement methods, and root-cause/failure analysis techniques.\nAbility to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nTYPICAL EDUCATION\nBS, MS in Electrical Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering also considered)\nTYPICAL EXPERIENCE\n5+ years\nWORK AUTHORIZATIONS / SECURITY CLEARANCE\nEmployee must be eligible to receive deemed exports as defined by U.S. Export Administration (“EAR”) or EAR-controlled technology.\nEmployees' nationality, citizenship and/or residency status is sought solely for export control compliance purposes and will not be used to discriminate in the hiring process.\nOur Hiring Process\nAt Sercel, we are committed to delivering a respectful, inclusive, and transparent recruitment experience.\nDue to the high volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to provide individual feedback to every applicant.
