And now, the next chapter could include you.\nAs part of our long-standing partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA), we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team onsite at ESTEC in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. In this role, you will support the design, deployment and operation of secure and reliable cloud infrastructure and services, working across cloud and hybrid environments to ensure their availability, performance and security.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, deploy, configure and maintain cloud infrastructure and services\nProvision and manage virtual machines, storage, networking, databases and supporting cloud resources\nMaintain cloud environments across development, testing, staging and production\nEnsure cloud services meet agreed availability, performance and capacity requirements\nSupport hybrid-cloud connectivity between cloud and on-premises infrastructure\nImplement cloud security controls in accordance with organisational security requirements\nConfigure identity and access management, roles, permissions and privileged access\nApply least-privilege and role-based access control principles\nManage network security controls, including security groups, firewall rules, private networks and access restrictions\nProfile\nExperience administering public, private and hybrid cloud environments\nStrong understanding of cloud compute, storage, networking, virtualisation and container technologies\nGood knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing and network segmentation\nExperience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication, authorisation, RBAC, least privilege and privileged access\nGood understanding of cloud security principles, including security hardening, vulnerability management, encryption, certificate management and secrets management\nScripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Bash or equivalent technologies\nExperience with monitoring, logging, alerting and performance management solutions\nExcellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills\nAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary technical teams\nGood organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise activities in dynamic operational environments\nEU nationality\nAble to obtain and maintain the required security clearance in line with ESA security and export control requirements\nWhat we Offer: More than just a job\nAt Serco, we believe that a career should come with more than just a paycheck, it should provide support, security, and a sense of balance in your life.\nWe offer 20 holidays + 10 additional discretionary holidays per year.
