Your expertise will help ensure homes remain safe, compliant and operational, while providing a reliable service to those who depend on it every day.\nOur work touches lives every day. In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining safe living environments, supporting communities and delivering services people can trust. You'll work independently and collaboratively, using your technical knowledge to create impactful solutions while helping us impact a better future.\nWhat you’ll do as a Gas Engineer\nCarry out gas installations, servicing, maintenance, breakdown repairs, fault-finding and gas safety inspections.\nDiagnose faults efficiently and undertake repairs in line with safety, quality and compliance requirements.\nMaintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and gas safety certifications.\nLiaise with subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure works are completed safely, on time and to the required standards.\nSupport quality assurance activities through audits and quality control checks of gas works and certifications.\nParticipate in on-call and out-of-hours rotas to help deliver a responsive 24/7 maintenance service.\nDoes this sound like you?\nHold a recognised gas industry qualification and current Gas Safe registration.\nPossess a Level 3 qualification in Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance, Gas Utilisation, Domestic Plumbing and Heating, or an equivalent qualification.\nDemonstrate strong experience in domestic gas servicing, installations, fault diagnosis and repairs.\nHave excellent awareness of health and safety requirements and safe systems of work.\nHold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel across the region as required.\nBe willing to undertake further role-related training and successfully complete required security clearance checks.\nWhat we offer\n25 days' holiday plus bank holidays\nCompany vehicle\nUp to 6% contributory pension scheme\nEmployee Assistance Programme, Bupa Anytime HealthLine, wellbeing app, 30% off at Serco-managed leisure centres, and 24/7 access to a virtual GP service\nDiscounts across around 1,000 retailers, from food and clothing to days out, entertainment and travel\nVetting and checks\nThis role requires BPSS clearance, which involves identity verification, employment history, and criminal record checks to meet government security standards.
