This is a hands-on role where you’ll use your expertise to carry out inspections, identify and repair faults, and ensure all vehicles meet DVSA standards.\nWhat you’ll do as a Workshop Mechanic\n\n You’ll be entrusted to:\nPerform maintenance inspections and repairs on all vehicles presented.\nIdentify vehicle faults and repair as necessary.\nIn consultation with the Workshop Supervisor, ensure all safety inspections are planned at least six months in advance, including all vehicle statutory obligations.\nEnsure all brake tests are completed as required.\nConduct vehicle test drives after repairs have been completed to verify the vehicle is roadworthy.\nEnsure the workshop is kept clean and well organised to ensure workplace safety.\nComplete all inspection and repair documentation, either manually or electronically, after any work has been completed on the vehicle.\nWork outside of normal working hours when operationally required.\nDoes this sound like you?\n\n You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:\nFull industry-recognised qualifications (City and Guilds / NVQ Level Three in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair).\nExperience of maintaining large fleets.\nCat C Driving Licence.\nExperience working on specialist hydraulic systems.\nAs well as checking eligibility to work in the UK, you will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.\nDiscover all you need to keep growing\n\n We’re one of the top 1% of international employers, so you can have confidence you’ll be part of a highly supportive culture with leaders you can count on to help you achieve your goals.
