The working environment is multicultural and multilingual, with an emphasis on strong work ethics, diligence, and responsibility. A shared commitment to common goals and operational effectiveness is essential, as is a high degree of discretion when handling personal or confidential data. The selected service providers will be required to sign the Ethics reminder and to conduct themselves accordingly during the provision of services under awarded specific contract.\nThe tasks that service provider will be expected to perform include any or all of the following:\nIT Infrastructure and environments maintenance,\nLinux and Windows installation and maintenance,\nData Base installation and maintenance,\nNetwork integration and server configuration,\nMaintenance of Test, Development, Preproduction and Production environments,\nUser, developer, data analyst and tester support,\nLoad and resource balancing,\nSystem monitoring and documentation,\nSoftware configuration,\nRollback mechanisms to ensure reliable and repeatable software and data base releases,\nManage infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and availability,\nPerform performance tuning of both applications and infrastructure to ensure optimal usage of resources and user experience,\nPlan and implement upgrades and migrations of hardware and software,\nDocument pipelines, processes, and infrastructure for reusability and knowledge transfer.\nKnowledge and skills\nCreation and maintenance of technical documentation: Writing technical documentation related to the developments above using standard tools.\nReporting on progress of the assigned tasks.\nA good interaction and cooperation with the JRC KCMD team (scientific and technical) is essential.\nAbility to participate in multilingual meetings.\nAbility to work in a team as well as autonomously.\nRapid self-starting capability and experience in team working.\nGood interpersonal and communication skills.\nAbility in applying security best practices.\nResults-oriented mindset, focused on delivering and resource consumption.\nSpecific Expertise:\nMinimum 12 years of experience with Linux system administration,\nMinimum 12 years of knowledge of Virtualization,\nMinimum 12 years of experience in containerization and orchestration technologies.\nMinimum 6 of experience in monitoring and observability.\nMinimum 12 of experience relational databases management and 6 years in no-SQL database
