Your work will directly contribute to national security, ensuring a safe, controlled environment while supporting colleagues, visitors, and operations on site.\nWhat you’ll do as a Security Guard\nYou’ll be entrusted to:\nAct as the first line of defence in support of the site mission\nCarry out patrols and escort duties across the site\nConduct vehicle and baggage searches\nIssue and manage keys securely\nMonitor and control CCTV, Intruder Detection Systems (IDS), and entry control systems\nProcess visitors and maintain accurate access records\nComplete report writing and maintain clear documentation\nLiaise with security personnel and external agencies\nTake part in ongoing training and development\nCarry out additional duties within scope as required by the Security Manager\nSecurity Industry Authority Information:\nSIA Licence holders preferable; able to carry out physical guarding duties\nSIA training & licence costs may be provided for the right candidate\nDoes this sound like you?\nYou’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:\nHold a valid SIA licence\nA valid full manual driving licence\nThe ability to achieve Security Clearance or have no issues obtaining one\nExperience using Microsoft Office applications\nStrong attention to detail, timekeeping, and customer service skills\nA proactive attitude and interest in building a career in security\nDesirable:\nExperience of working in a secure government environment or similar\nFirst Aid certification\nThis role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance.
