Do you enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity, coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring programmes remain on track?\nWe're looking for a Transition Analyst to join our Transition Management team, supporting the successful mobilisation, transition, transformation and exit of major contracts across Serco's UK & Europe business.\nWorking alongside experienced Transition Directors and Principal Transition Leads, you'll play a key role throughout both the sales and delivery lifecycle. You'll help develop transition plans, manage programme controls, track risks and dependencies, support governance activities and provide valuable insight that enables confident decision-making.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with programme, PMO or transition experience who wants to develop their career within a high-performing team delivering complex, business-critical programmes.\nWhat you'll be doing\n\nYou'll support the planning, governance and assurance of mobilisation, transition and transformation programmes, ensuring robust controls are in place and key milestones are delivered successfully.\nKey responsibilities include:\nSupporting the development of transition plans, programme schedules and mobilisation artefacts during the bid and sales lifecycle.\nMaintaining programme controls including risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies (RAID).\nMonitoring programme performance and providing accurate reporting and management information for governance forums.\nWorking closely with Transition Leads, project teams, suppliers and partners to ensure delivery remains on track.\nSupporting programme assurance reviews and helping implement recommendations that improve delivery confidence.\nContributing to cutover planning and operational readiness activities.\nProducing high-quality reports, presentations and programme documentation.\nDriving continuous improvement of transition methodologies, standards, tools and knowledge assets.\nSupporting quality assurance processes to ensure programme deliverables meet required standards.\nWhat you'll bring\n\nWe're looking for someone who combines strong programme coordination skills with excellent stakeholder management and a proactive approach to problem solving.\nYou'll ideally have:\nExperience working within a programme, transition, mobilisation or PMO environment.\nExperience supporting projects or workstreams as part of a larger programme.\nKnowledge of programme governance, assurance and control processes.\nExperience managing RAID logs and programme reporting.\nStrong planning and scheduling experience using tools such as Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet.\nAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project.\nExperience engaging and influencing a broad range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex information into clear insights.\nExperience working in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities and changing requirements.\nThe ability to bring structure, clarity and control to complex programmes.\nDesirable experience includes:\n\nMobilisation, transition, transformation or outsourcing environments.\nProgramme assurance, quality management or continuous improvement activities.\nKnowledge management and process improvement experience.\nExperience using Power BI, SharePoint and Smartsheet.\nWhat you'll need\n\nFoundation-level qualification in APMP, PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent programme/project management methodology.\nA willingness to travel as required to support programme delivery activities.\nWhy Serco?\n\nAt Serco, you'll have the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most complex and meaningful service transitions, helping deliver critical services that make a difference to communities every day.\nYou'll join a collaborative and supportive team where you'll be encouraged to develop your skills, broaden your experience and play a key role in delivering successful outcomes for our customers and stakeholders.\nAbout Serco\nAt Serco, not only is the nature of the work we do important, everyone has an important role to play, from caring for vulnerable people to managing complex public services.
