We don’t just talk about digital transformation—we build it.\n\nJob Summary: We are looking for a sharp, self-driven Computer Science graduate or early-career software builder for a permanent full-time position as our internal AI Engineer. You will work directly with leadership to design, build, and deploy automation pipelines, connect disparate platforms, and implement AI tools that streamline our supply chains, administration, and customer workflows.\n\nKey Duties and Responsibilities: \n\nBuild Automation Pipelines:\n\nDesign and deploy automated workflows using custom code (Python/TypeScript) and orchestration tools (such as n8n or Make) to connect internal databases and software.\n\nIntegrate AI & Data Systems:\n\nImplement RAG pipelines and AI APIs to process unstructured documents (e.g., invoices, price sheets, logs) into structured, actionable business data.\n\nRapid Prototyping:\n\nTake operational problems from concept to a working prototype in days, iterating quickly based on internal feedback.\n\nAPI Management:\n\nStitch together third-party platforms via REST APIs and webhooks to eliminate manual data entry.\n\nTechnical Documentation:\n\nMaintain clean documentation and basic internal guides for deployed automation systems.\n\nQualifications, Skills and Experience:\n\nEducational Background:\n\nA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related technical field from a reputable institution (such as Makerere University), or equivalent demonstrated experience as a builder.\n\nCore Technical Fluency:\n\nStrong proficiency in Python or TypeScript, with a solid grasp of backend logic, asynchronous programming, and JSON/REST APIs.\n\nAutomation Mindset:\n\nFamiliarity with modern workflow automation tools, cloud services, and LLM orchestration frameworks.\n\nHigh Learning Velocity:\n\nThe ability to independently read documentation, troubleshoot breaking API changes, and master unfamiliar tech stacks on the fly.\n\nPragmatic Problem Solver:\n\nA portfolio of
